Researcher with National Research Council of Italy since 2002, formerly with the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources, now with the Institute of Information Science and Technologies. Research interests are in the area of ICT applications towater, focusing on remote sensing techniques and data analysis applications. Author and co-author of about 50 publications, among which 2 international patents and two books. The expertise in multi-disciplinary approaches to water security and threats to the quality of water led to some visible roles in water-related technical events and editorial activities, especially in south Mediterranean countries.
